The hum of a nearby computer terminal catches your attention. Readying your trusty shotgun, you begin a stealthy surveillance. In fact, it’s not just shellshock that makes it seem quiet, it’s the absolute absence of any life in a place that should be bustling with military activity. Despite your recent hellish experience, the strange quiet of the military base is more unsettling than comforting. Wearily, you look for some semblance of the life and sanity that you remember from the time before you heard the name " Quake", but find only emptiness. Leaving bloody footprints in your wake, you step away from the slipgate like a man emerging from a car wreck. In a flash of light and pain you emerge from the slipgate’s quantum vortex in the shiny-clean environment of a modern military base. Hoping for either paradise or oblivion, you step through the slipgate, gambling on its unknown destination. You find a blood-spattered slipgate, a strange juxtaposition of ultra-technology and medieval squalor. Exhausted, you stumble along, searching for an exit from this hellhole. Chunks of putrid flesh lie in piles throughout the subterranean cavern. Gamerankings rank the game 82.00%, despite the criticizing of the only expended gameplay.The blood of Shub-Niggurath lingers in the air like a heavy mist. The game received yet another favorable review. A new soundtrack with a significantly different music style - combination of ambient, metal, and orchestral music.As such, they allow some degree of tactical play. They will not detonate until enemies or a player moves too close to them. The Centroid is a man-sized cybernetic scorpion with Nailguns for claws and melee sting attack.To compensate for traditional selection of human base map enemies in the game (namely the Grunt, Rottweiler, and Enforcer which are some of the weakest enemies in the game) and avoiding a whole episode of weak enemies, the occasional Zombie, Rotfish, or Ogre is thrown in and a new enemy has been introduced: the Centroid. Unlike Quake, where each episode began with a human military base map, Scourge of Armagon has three episodes and the entire first episode is made up of military-style levels on Earth. Therefore, the hero must once again venture into the dark realms of Quake and defeat the armies of evil.
